Louise Giroux

President and founder of Philanthrôpia, Louise Giroux is a graduate of Hautes Études Commerciales in Montréal and Université du Québec à Montréal and has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropic development. She has a background in project, staff and budget management, and has held a variety of positions as a communications and marketing executive.
Giroux worked in the field of corporate financing, sponsorships and partnership development. She has developed an expertise in public financing, such as mass mailings, workplace campaigns, as well as establishing employee funds. She has also developed bequeath, planned and major gifts programmes.
She has headed numerous large-scale fundraising campaigns for community and cultural organisations, hospitals and universities, including the planning and managing of a $125-million major fundraising campaign for the Université de Montréal (Canada). Her expertise also extends to the European market, allowing Philanthrôpia to provide premium services to clients around the world.
